Sister Brittany Ann Wilkins: Week 25 - Another Picture Overload & VIDEOS!!!

Well hello family! I just got done reading all your e-mails! yay!!! :) haha that made me happy to see so many of you writing me a little e-mail! :) I love it! So I do have to say that I am sorry that I don't write back to people often :) President made a rule that we can only write on preparation day (along with lots of other new rules) they're really crackin' down on us because I get the feeling that they're preparing us to be obedient when the time of Facebook and iPad mini's come. And I know that being exactly obedient brings miracles! And it is a sacrifice because I want so badly to write everyone! But there just isn't time... so don't be offended! I will talk to your face in a little over a year, and I LOVE YOU!!!! :) haha I am glad that ya'll liked my videos :) I really have become less of an introvert huh? haha A lesson that I’ve learned is that I have to be myself..because the Lord called me and these people need my personality :) anyways....I have lots of pictures to send!!! The mission BBQ was SO MUCH FUN!!!! :) haha I love this mission so much! :) The WA-TAC is the best mission in the entire world....pretty positive :) haha but we all got together and ate hamburgers and hot dogs and talked and took pictures! It was so fun! Then we went into the cultural hall and some of the zones performed skits! :) It was hilarious because I don't know if you know but the elders have to get Satchels now aka man purses! haha so we all like to make fun of it :D haha I love it! So a lot of the skits made fun of that and then we have this elder named Esquivel. Ya he's awesome! He can dubstep! Like with his voice! It’s insane! I love it :) haha Then they gave away awards, and my zone got an award for giving away the most BOM's! Which is good because Sister Thompson and I have given away over 80 copies of the Book of Mormon this transfer! WOOT!!!! I think I’ve given almost everyone in this area a Book of Mormon :) so it's awesome! :) Also side note...something really sad happened on Thursday... An Elder in my area went home on Thursday :( He was SUCH a good elder, and I miss him lots! But he's coming back in a little while :) so that's good! So now we have a new elder that's been out for 3 months and his name is Elder Elephant! (Oliphant) I call him elephant cuz it's easier... :) But I miss the other Elder...we didn't even get to say goodbye because he didn't tell anyone so his companion just calls and tells us that he has a new companion. So nice. Anyways on a happier note! :) We started teaching Mike's (my recent convert that got baptized in march) twin brother M. this week! yay! :) He’s awesome, and very intellectual just like Mike...he's got a lot of hard questions and I love them! :) So he's pretty awesome! :) Brooke has of course been going out with us again this week and it's a lot of fun! I love her, and her family is just amazing! :) I also went to the doctor (AKA Bishop Mortensen) and got my wart frozen off...It felt so weird and COLD!!!! haha but it's getting better now so that's good :) Bishop is awesome and he did it for free...he is such a good person..I can't even imagine Steilacoom without him...he's awesome! :) Speaking of the Mortensens we went to their house for dinner last night and Bishop made Tri-tip! YUM and Sister Mortensen made strawberry shortcake! It was SO good! I am going to miss getting fed so much food....haha jk :) I need to stop! Something else really cool that we got to do this week is a sand tray!!! There’s this guy in our ward and he has cancer so Bishop wanted us to go over and visit and we did and he has these sand tray things and all these little figurines and doo dads and you just clear your mind and do something! It was really cool and I will send you a picture :) haha but what's even crazier is that after I was done he had me come and pick some cards from a pile of like 50 or so and put them in the sand tray. I got wisdom responsibility and perception. The crazier part is that 2 of those words are in my patriarchal blessing in the same sentence! It was pretty cool :) my mind was blown a little bit :) haha It was also Elder Torres and Papa Rich and one of our investigator's daughter's A's birthday’s this weekend! So sister Thompson and I got really creative with some gifts! Being a missionary is so great!!! :) haha :) L. (our investigator) is still doing good! She is actually getting baptized on the 24th now! So I only have to miss her for 4 days! haha she's the funniest child...her birthday was last week and she just turned 30 and she's so short and sassy :) haha she likes to text me and just talk sometimes and it's hilarious! I love her, and she gives us blackberries from her backyard! YUM! :) Awh! I got a cute letter from Sister Hall this week! I love her! haha she is a true friend to me....I have really learned what a true friend is out here...and it's someone who makes you want to be more like Christ. And she does! haha :) I still talk to Sister Logan every week :) We have fun! haha she's the best! :) I just love her to pieces and she gives me energy that I don't have because she's SO energetic! haha This week I also learned a little something about love, true love. I met 2 people that were so totally head over heels in love and I love it! It's so cool! :) haha I learn so many life skills out here! Being a missionary is the best thing EVER!!! This next week is going to be a little bitter sweet...but I am excited :) I trust God will give me the transfer call that I need :) So I’m not nervous...just sad to leave my family here :P But anyways! I learned this week a lot about enjoying special moments! I already told Michele about this...but I will share again :) Special moments happen daily...probably hourly in our lives! and we pass those moments up sometimes. But! We need to recognize those moments because that is how we can find joy in the journey! So this week recognize those special moments in your life, and remember to be happy! :) And also remember how much I love you!!!! :) Which is a lot! :) I LOVE YOU!!!! :)
